Al Capone’s Miami Beach Homesite Sells $21 Million

The lot where Al Capone’s Palm Island mansion stood has sold for $21 million, making it one of the most iconic residential properties in Miami Beach. The now-vacant beachfront property has 100 feet of frontage on Biscayne Bay. An infamous crime boss from the Prohibition era, Capone purchased the home in 1928 and died there of a heart attack in 1947. The mansion was demolished in 2023.
