Florida Home Permits Drop in September

September’s Florida housing permits were disappointing, with a 21% decrease in all five regions monitored by Home Builders Weekly (HBW). The five Florida regions—Tampa, Southwest Florida, Jacksonville, Orlando, and Southeast Florida—had a total of $2.16 billion in new residential construction permits. The average construction values varied significantly. Jacksonville had the lowest average of $276,273 per permit out of the five regions, while Southeast Florida’s average was $490,704.
