Lynyrd Skynyrd Band Home Sells $6.6 Million

The Georgia home of Gary Rossington, the late guitarist for Lynyrd Skynyrd, sold for $6.6 million. Once spanning 68 acres in the city of Milton, the property was called Free Bird’s Nest, after the band’s most famous song. When it was first marketed in its entirety for $12 million in 2023, it only drew proposals from developers who wanted to divide the land, and the first 32 acres of the estate were sold last year for $4.7 million to a family who plans to build their own home there. The remaining 36 acres now have a new owner who was drawn to the property because of its size and seclusion on Sargent Lake.
