Oleg Cassini’s House of Cassini

by toptenrealestatedeals

Oleg Cassini’s New York City mansion has sold for $34.5 million in a bankruptcy sale following a bitter battle with his widow and sister-in-law to keep the home and return it to a single-family residence. Cassini’s sister-in-law, Peggy Nestor, and his widow, Marianne Nestor, a former model who wed the stylish designer in secret in 1971, fought for years to stop the sale of the 18,000-square-foot House of Cassini with Central Park views. Cassini died in 2006 at age 92.
